1. What VidiSphere collects
VidiSphere may collect account information such as name, email address, authentication provider details, and basic profile settings. If you join the beta waitlist, the Formspree request form collects your contact details, comfort level with YouTube history uploads, product goals, and free-text feature requests.
2. Watch-history uploads
The MVP is designed for user-provided Google Takeout watch-history JSON files. Raw watch-history uploads are private by default and should be processed server-side. They are used to derive structured interest data, not to publish your raw viewing history to other users.
3. Derived data
VidiSphere may generate derived interest profiles, persona summaries, topic categories, match scores, and explanations. Discovery and matching should use these derived signals rather than exposing raw watch events.
4. How data is used
Data is used to create and secure accounts, process uploads, generate interest insights, support matching and communities, improve the beta product, prevent misuse, and respond to account or privacy requests.
5. Sharing
Raw uploads are not intended to be shared with other users. Derived public or match-visible profile details should only be shown according to the privacy controls available in the app. The beta access form is submitted through Formspree, which processes the form submission so the VidiSphere team can review requests.
6. Security controls
The planned architecture uses Firebase Authentication, owner-scoped Firestore and Storage rules, server-side AI calls, App Check, and backend authorization for privileged processing. No AI provider API keys should be exposed in client-side code.
7. Your controls
The product roadmap includes privacy settings for discoverability, AI persona use, social matching, direct messaging, upload deletion, derived-data deletion, and account deletion.
8. Updates
This policy may change as VidiSphere moves through beta. Material updates should be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
